I Won't Hold Back - Day 11
Updated: Nov 8, 2018
"For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?” So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ."
The last day of our Africa trip was spent in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Here, in the outskirts of town, on a small plot of land, was a church where Awana was being held on Saturday morning. As we entered in, we saw the faces of over 200 children who were playing games and having fun. It was beautiful to see the many leaders of the church who set time aside to come and minister to these children. The children didn't speak English, but their love was shared through high fives and hugs. From Large Group Time to Small Group Time, these children were engaged and ready to learn from God's Word.
After our visit, we set off to see more of Addis as we traveled to Girma and Betty's home for an authentic Ethiopian lunch and coffee. It was here, where we got to meet their family, and hear from the heart of their oldest daughter, Mida, who is the reason behind Awana starting in Ethiopia.

God has done great things, and I believe that with God we can do better. I agree with Mida, I won't hold back!
